CPD Update 2018 – Part 1
Over the past week or so I have been working hard to update my CPD and CV. Firstly on the 16th of Feb I attended a Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness course. This was presented by the Children’s society and held at the Foyer in Torquay. I found out about this course through my work with IYSS.
I have also completed the Ruby course I was undertaking with Codecademy and started a ‘Running a Code Club’ course with Future Learn.
Further to that on the 20th I spoke to Julian at the Job centre, as I was there with the Young Men project and asked for some advice on my CV. Taking this advice I have now:
- Combined the various work experience / volunteer work posts in to a single ‘Experience’
- Set out my experience in a way that is hopefully easier to follow.
- Updated CPD, removing courses as they are replaced with updated training. However a full list of CPD, training etc will remain on my website.
On the 21st Feb I competed the Introduction to Health and Safety course with UK virtual college. This had to be done in order to update my skill set.
Finally I am due to complete the 2nd part of Child protection with Torbay council on Saturday 24th Feb. This will be the classroom based element of the course presented on the i-learn system.
