Geany, is one of the Text Editors and IDE utilities available for GNU / Linux. It is quite nice and I have posted previously on how to configure the build settings so you can either run for Python 2 or 3.
Recently however it seems to be not playing ball, as the screenshot below shows a blank screen when it should display the output of the Ruby program on the left hand side. This is working code. So something is not happening on the output side of things.
Something to investigate further, I have tried to apt purge geany and re-install and this hasn’t fixed it yet. I will just use something like joe text editor in the meantime if using the console / terminal or gedit if I want a basic editor for the GUI.
