LXDE MENU 2
Further to my previous post on this. I have undertaken some digging.
apt search lxde menu lists
menulibre/stable,stable 2.2.0-2 all
advanced FreeDesktop.org compliant menu editor
From here. I worked out how to query the dpkg database,
xxxx@xxxx:~$ dpkg -s menulibre
dpkg-query: package ‘menulibre’ is not installed and no information is available
Use dpkg –info (= dpkg-deb –info) to examine archive files.
xxx@xxxx:~$ dpkg –info menulibre
dpkg-deb: error: failed to read archive ‘menulibre’: No such file or directory
I have replaced by username and hostname with xxxx (before I get comments about that)
Then installed libremenu (as root)
apt install libremenu
Not quite sure where this gets put on the menu structure, But typing menulibre in the terminal
as well as the following errors
(menulibre:6250): Gtk-WARNING **: 20:03:30.475: Unknown key 15gtk-xft-hinting in /home/psutton/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
(menulibre:6250): Gtk-WARNING **: 20:03:30.578: gtk_menu_attach_to_widget(): menu already attached to GtkMenuButton
(menulibre:6250): Gtk-WARNING **: 20:03:30.668: gtk_menu_attach_to_widget(): menu already attached to GtkMenuButton
Does give me a menu editor.
Why is this not installed along with LXDE by default?
Where does this program get placed within the menu structure?
Is this program meant to come up if clicking menu settings, in which case why not integrate the tool for choosing the menu graphic within the above program.?
