Stretch to Buster

I decided to upgrade a spare netbook from Debian 9 (Stretch) to Debian 10 (Buster).  This went really well,  just a case of editing

/etc/apt/source.list

then running

apt update && apt upgrade

apt dist-upgrade

I didn’t see any messages during this process.  Not the process is not fully automated here, it will stop and ask questions.  Hence it is probably better to avoid the -y switch on the above commands.

Info on Buster can be found at:

Information and advice on Testing can be found here

Basic how_to can be found below

I would advise you to find your own instructions.  I am not responsible for any loss of data or other problems. I did my upgrade on a spare non production computer.  I am also running debian non-free.
